Our farm is our heart and home. Sharing it with community is the best gift of all.
Who We Are
Kathryn and André Laframboise are born and raised city kids who felt a deep calling to move to the countryside. From a very young age, Kathryn knew she was destined to be a farmer. She never lost sight of that goal and officially became a farmer, with her husband alongside her, in 2017.
Tending to the land and animals is a core value for the Laframboises. Cooperatively working with the land, each year these passionate farmers are learning and growing on their 20 acre farm. What started as journey with two goats on their farmstead has led to a blossoming fibre farm full of sheep, alpacas, a llama and rabbits, a place for rescue horses, and all of the feathered friends you could imagine.
Our Mission
“Kathryn and André have created a beautiful and welcoming place to foster education, exploration and take care of their animal family. We can’t wait to see this wonderful space continue to grow.”
— Sara, farm guest
“I’ve been privileged enough to visit many times over the years and it keeps getting better. So many cute feathered and fuzzy faces to see and build a connection with. I honestly cannot say enough about the haven they have built.”
— Sydney, farm guest
Our mission here at The Raspberry Roost is for everyone to experience joy, a safe space for growing and learning, and develop meaningful connections to systems like fibre farming. We want guests to feel a sense of hope and agency for change when they leave. It does not matter if you are here for a tour, a workshop, picking up a product, we want you to know you are a cherished, important member of the community. People of all ages have something to discover here.
